For decades liberals, supposed and otherwise, have been known for self destructive actions and words. That phenomenon combined with the loathing of power, a necessity in the real world, has led to our current lack of political and economic clout. We need to bite back on the urge to nitpick each other on imagined or insignificant "sins." (Yes there is a religious timbre to this nonsense - and not in a good way.) Thanks for calling out this bullshit, Father Monk. And thank you for your bravery and for standing up for Americans and humanity.
