My very first paid subscription, mind you. I have this irrational policy against paying for a subscription. I understand the importance of subsidizing you brilliant writers, and I sure free subscribe to a lot of you, but, in many cases, because paywall, I can get no further than the headline. Since I damn sure can't pay to read all of y'all, I chose to pay for none. I said it was irrational.
