Many of us are ashamed at the way that the elected leader of our country is behaving. He does not represent what is best in the United States--indeed, he is its underbelly. His slogan "Make America Great Again" is a figment of his narcissistic imagination. He is incapable of making anything great, and his track record as a businessman proves it! I am just one person, but nevertheless, on behalf of the free country that I believe in, I offer my sincere apology for the way that our president is treating virtually all our allies (and so many people in our own country, too!).
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, to give your attention to the rapidly increasing destruction of our democracy by a madman completely void of intellect, compassion, morals, stability, integrity, or decency…as are all the sycophants he surrounds himself with. Thank you for clearly seeing who he is when one half of our county cannot, will not, see or believe this. I find comfort in knowing you see what is happening and do not condone it. It means a lot to know we are being seen and heard.
BBC News reported very early this morning that PM Ishiba has no interest in renegotiating the current trade deal which was negotiated by Trump in 2019.
Though I have never visited the country myself, I have always loved Japan; one of my family’s early memories of me is as a four year old child reading a book about the country on the living room couch, startling a neighbor who had dropped by to visit.
I humbly apologize for the difficulties the would-be despot Donald Trump has forced upon Japan, and seriously hope all of your people will be harmed as little as possible by his sadistic chaos. May Japan endure in peace and happiness.
