Dear Senator Wyden,
Thank you. In a political landscape where most senators seem content to offer thoughts and prayers to the truth as it's buried alive, you’ve done something rare: you followed the money — and exposed a live wire. The American people are in your debt for dragging the Treasury’s Epstein file into the light, no matter how many hands are scrambling to slam it shut.
We now know that Jeffrey Epstein moved over a billion dollars through just one of his bank accounts. That includes thousands of wire transfers tied to sanctioned Russian banks, some of which appear linked to women and girls trafficked from Russia, Belarus, Turkey, and Turkmenistan. This isn’t tinfoil. This is your committee’s own summary. And if that doesn’t sound like a multi-national organized crime ring with geopolitical implications, then we might as well retire the entire concept of national security.
Let’s be honest: the connections you’ve uncovered don’t stop at Epstein. They spiral outward — toward financial powerhouses like VTB Bank, toward notorious figures like Andrey Kostin, and toward politically entangled billionaires like Leon Black, who quietly shelled out $62.5 million to the U.S. Virgin Islands just to avoid further scrutiny. And looming over all of this is the unmistakable stench of Donald J. Trump, who now calls this entire investigation a “hoax” — the same man whose administration allegedly blocked your access to the full Treasury file.
You’ve laid the kindling. Now we need a fire.
The American people deserve full transparency. We demand the release of the complete Treasury file — not just to the Senate Finance Committee, but to the public. We demand a real investigation into which oligarch-linked banks facilitated this blood-soaked empire. We want to know what Donald Trump knew, when he knew it, and why he seems so eager to bury it. We want to understand how Epstein’s financial networks slipped through regulatory cracks, and who benefitted along the way.
The time for subtlety is over. Whatever this is — corruption, kompromat, or just industrial-scale cowardice — it’s metastasizing. And the only thing more dangerous than the secrets Epstein took to his grave are the ones still being hidden by the living.
Keep pushing. We’re watching. We’re with you. But we won’t accept silence.
Sincerely,
Closer to the Edge
