You know, the story of jesus is as much one of philosophical and political morality and clarity and rebellion against a corrupted order, as one of religion. Remove the religion and god, and its still a story about sticking it to the man, enormous integrity, and moral rightdoing. And it inspires me immensely, even i i dont believe in god, as such. Possibly in that we can feel divinity in us sometimes when we dare to be the one who does the right thing, the thing everybody both feel and know must be done.
What I find puzzling is how the evangelicals can cozy up to him . Do they actually not see the irony? Not see that it’s a pack of lies? Do not see that it is only a character he plays to hoodwink them? When will they wake up?
It makes me wonder if the “evangelicals” in Trump’s inner coven aren’t indeed the false prophets the Good Book wars about. Well, I really don’t wonder at all because it’s pretty obvious.
