Brilliantly written! Your descriptions and analogies paint a grotesquely vivid picture of the Grim Reaper of the Senate and his legacy—equal parts revolting and darkly entertaining. Then BAM BAM BAM in quick succession, damn! You never had much of a chin to begin with, but now it's pretty much all wattle and maw, those sad eyes hovering. Gold Watch!

As a Louisville native who covered Mitch for the late, great Louisville Times back when he was the local county executive in the early '80s, I can testify that every word of your report is accurate, and that he evolved very little if at all during the years that followed.
A beautiful (though rather charitable!) send off to one of the most damaging old fossils to ever drag his protective carapace through the halls of Congress. Mitch McTurtle will go down in whatever history books survive the purge on education, as being almost solely responsible for the most traitorous, corrupt and misaligned collection of cells to showboat as ‘president’ of the USA. Should democracy have the strength to survive this abomination of an administration, I hope the heated tridents of Mitch’s final resting place keep prodding him eternally as a reminder of all the chaos and destruction he caused.
