No one should be left in the dark. Sunlight kills mold. We need to shed that light onto the mold and decay of this abominatable system that steals people off our streets and disappears them. We need to find those black holes where they're being kept and open them up. And maybe that sunlight will melt the ICE that imprisons them. Like a vampire exposed to the sun.
I agree with you completely, Lynda. I read a few days ago that 1800 men were logged into Alligator Alcatraz. Yet, when the place was supposedly closed, only 600 men were recorded as removed. What happened to the other 1200 men?! They matter! Their families deserve to know where they are and if they are even alive. This issue needs some light shown on it. Has anybody else read these numbers somewhere?
Patricia, thank you. I first read about the Alcatraz Aushwich disappearance from Rosie the Resister. A couple of days ago. I remarked that some on the MAGA right had been advocating for throwing brown people to the alligators. We need to demand to know that these people are still alive and where they have been disappeared to. Their families had been in contact with them and then suddenly nothing. Now the regime is trying to take credit for finding a bunch of children that they separated during the 1st time around. I don't believe it! How are they going to find the nursing babies they stole and didn't even keep a record of?
".......not because justice was granted, but because injustice had been made too expensive to sustain." There is a key here. We must stay on it. Make fascism too expensive to sustain.
We needed to read this story of Ayman Soliman. I vaguely recall the story of an Egyptian journalist that covered the Arab Spring being detained. Thank you!
