ICE Out For Good Protest - Boca Raton, Florida
By Chance Meeting
On January 10th, we traveled to Boca Raton, Florida to cover the ICE Out For Good protest organized by Hope and Action Indivisible and other local organizers. The event took place outside the local Home Depot to protest their complicity in ICE’s crimes against humanity and to honor the memory of Renee Nicole Good who was murdered in cold-blood by ICE just days prior in Minneapolis.
It was a larger turnout than we anticipated, a sentiment I believe was shared by the organizers. Those who weren’t standing on the ground holding signs and chanting, drove by in their cars and honked in solidarity. The support from the community was overwhelming and any detractors were terribly few and far in-between.
Here we had the opportunity to interview Jennifer Jones and Miriam Rodriguez, two leaders of Hope and Action Indivisible and organizers of the protest:
Also attending the protest was Oliver Larkin, a progressive congressional candidate in Florida’s 23rd district who frequents protests and stays involved within his community during America’s struggle against fascism.
Near the tail-end of the protest we got a quick interview with Oliver to speak about his candidacy and the policies he is and plans to continue to fight for:
The size of and support for this protest outside of Boca’s Home Depot just shows South Florida’s growing movement of dissent, part of a larger movement taking hold throughout the United States in combatting the fascism of the Trump regime and the growing terror of their secret police force, ICE.

I just watched Kristi Noem being interviewed by Jake Tapper on CNN. She confirmed my previous beliefs about her. She is a vicious, stupid, person who has drunk the Koolade. We must get control of the Congress this year to begin impeaching these Trump clowns who are attacking our rights guaranteed by the Constitution. The best thing one might say about her is that she is as cold as ICE.
I attended the Ice Out for Good protest in Cocoa FL this afternoon. There were about 500 people, not as many as the No Kings but still a good crowd
