When we live in a time when our President is a rapist, pedophile and 34 count convicted felon, something like inherent contempt isn't even a thought.

You’re right when it comes to Trump; but it will be effective with AG Bondi, having her face the consequence of obedience to Trump instead of honoring her oath of office to our Constitution. I would place a copy of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and perhaps, a history of the United States of America on that table, no pillow on the chair, and a loud ticking clock on the wall.

maybe. his minions don’t have immunity, though, so it may work on them.

Yes! I've been telling my friends from the very beginning of this mess that even though we might not be able to prosecute tRump for his unlawful actions, we can hold any one of his cabinet members and other enablers in contempt. Bondi would be first on the list. Sending them down to one of the "containment centers" would be a great idea. Nice comfy place for a "timeout".

I'd love to see both bondi and noem behind bars. Ya know, those same bars that ICE barbie posed in front of lo these many months ago.

As if anyone with any power in Congress has a spine and would even think of upsetting the status quo. They have donors/corporations/industries to think of... who give to (bribe) both sides to keep them in line and obedient to their capitalist masters. Taking the route of imposing a fine is even crossing the obedience line, even though it's purely symbolic and just a tiny amount anyway (tiny to multimillionaires at least). We've strayed too far from truly holding politicians accountable to ever claw that back.

Excellent underscore! Thanks for stating what should be the obvious.

And along those lines, I do recall that when Nixon’s staff covered-up, co-conspired, crafted, implemented a cover-up, then “handled” the watergate break-up, they were cordially invited to sit down and shut TF up.

Then, “several high-ranking Nixon staffers, including H.R. Haldeman, John Ehrlichman, and John Mitchell, were indicted by a federal grand jury in March 1974 for their roles in covering up the Watergate scandal, leading to their convictions and prison time, while many others faced charges, ultimately contributing to President Nixon's resignation.”

So BONDI and all the high-ranking members of deranged Donny’s administration might want to rethink their strategy.

I read that even MAGAs dislike Bondi among all Trump Regime Cabinet figures. Around 70% of MAGAs disapprove of her.

Wow, thank you for this info. I assumed that since Bondi was breaking a federal law and the DOJ would never arrest her that the law had no power.

I didn't know that about inherent contempt. We should have been using it long ago. But the Democrats are too cowardly to use what's in their toolkit. I can't wait for this regime to be universally shamed. By the way, thank you for working on a holiday. You have a wonderful, eloquent voice.

Bondi is the perfect case for inherent contempt with custody. She has consistently refused to answer questions posed by oversight committees.

Demonstrating her contempt in no uncertain terms, even leaving a hearing before it’s conclusion for a made up reason. The perfect person of whom to make an example.
