I wish people would stop using the term deported. He was NOT deported. He was arrested and sent to a concentration without due process. What this regime is doing in regards to immigration does not meet any definition of deportation in the United States.

Here's hoping Kilmar Abrego Garcia's attorneys sue the shit out of the Justice Department, Kristi Gnome, FBI, Marco Rubio, and anyone else who: 1) caused this travesty in the first place, and 2) allowed the situation to linger for months and months.

I remember either Nazi Pam or KKKaroline insisting angrily he would never return. Well look at him now. Hope he wins his lawsuit too. Now what about the others, like the hairdresser?

I am so glad he is back with his family and hopefully protected, since the world is watching now. His case just shows that if you continue to push back their little schemes will not work. He was singled out because he fought back, which is a crime in itself. I hope he wins his case, not only for himself and his family, but for all those others who have been unjustly put in the same position.

So glad he is home. He should sue big time for his lost time, his kidnapping, his false imprionment and job. The whole episode was a travesty.

His lawsuit is hugely important as an example and precedent for the many people who have been wrongfully subjected to arrest and abuse.

Don’t people have to get permission from the government to sue the government. I thought I’d heard that in the past.

No, you do not need explicit "permission" to sue the government, but you must follow specific procedures outlined by the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) for federal claims or state-specific tort claims acts for state and local claims, which involve filing an administrative claim first and waiting for a response before filing a lawsuit. The underlying legal principle is sovereign immunity, which historically protected governments from being sued, but Congress has waived this immunity for certain types of claims, allowing lawsuits under strict conditions.
