This is going to be a huge brain drain. I don't know when we'll ever recover from the mess this regime is making. I'm glad for this man that he was able to get out before he got kidnapped and sent to God knows where but he shouldn't have had to. All this for protesting genocide. They're killing babies and being gleeful about it. And all Trump can see is an opportunity for another tacky resort.

Within the inhumanity and corruption, we are losing some of our best and brightest. Norway 🇳🇴, France. 🇫🇷, Canada 🇨🇦 and even China 🇨🇳 are actively recruiting some of our best scientists. Other nations will follow.

Science and research drive our economy beyond measure.

Every American should be made to watch Hitler:The Making of a Monster. You folks are being led down a very dangerous road that mirrors Hitler step by goose step. The world awaits - you don’t have the excuse that you didn’t know - you all know - and the world has been very vocal and sharing news that you ‘might’ not be seeing. This fiasco is on every one of you that are not taking action. Your scholars need to be working on education programs that every citizen needs to take to reorient your population to see how this happened and understand critical thinking.

They have been working in our Republican led states, for close to a decade, on dismantling federal education. They’ve had literal book bans. The education secretary has an order from tRump to shut down the department of education. And, they are attacking the colleges. You are entirely correct, and I don’t know how we are going to pull out of this. I am SO disappointed with the American people. I’ve wept many times while I watched as they mimic the disaster of the 1930s.

An idiot administration threw out a brilliant, compassionate thinker. That’s how powerful countries become outcast has-beens.

Your finale said it all: "If you ache reading this — good. You're still alive.

If you don't — you’ve already been processed." I only add: If you're angry, DO SOMETHING. Anger is a great motivator and its a valid emotion. Don't suppress it into depression. Feel it, energize and GO.

We keep reading these things and asking what can we do? The United States and the world can't survive 1300 more days of this administration. We need to find the allies, forces, powers, people, that can drive them out and reset the US to January 1, 2025, and start over. We can not make that happen with demonstrations, marching in the streets, shouting at Tesla dealerships. It's nice to nag your congressman but he is as powerless as we are. What can we do that will give us 6 or 7 Republicans willing to vote for impeachment?

I keep hearing people talking about a ’slippery slope’ or a slow slide into authoritarianism or fascism, but that ship has sailed. For anyone waiting for the neon sign and Pavlovian bell that signals the start of the fascist takeover you can stop waiting, we are here. We are truly sleep-walking through this, shaking our collective heads and saying ‘but it can’t happen here. They have told the Supreme Court to pound sand, they are stopping Americans on the street and asking for proof of citizenship, they are doing whatever the fuck they want! IT IS ALREADY HAPPENING !
