Thank You Bernie Sanders for at least TRYING to speak truth to power. The questions are:

1) Will they listen, understand and act appropriately?

2) DO THEY CARE???

It remains to be seen, because we have a Congress who are more interested right now in protecting Trump than in standing up for the average American who just wants to earn an honest living and be able to take care of their family. Family values? HAH!!! They have already started messaging us that we need to be prepared for a prolonged period of hardship. How’s THAT for Family Values???

Congress stinks so bad I can smell them all the way out here in California!!!

Bernie is doing what Democrats like Chuck Schumer will never do... demonstrate real leadership and fight for the American people.

Schumer says he's good at getting people elected. If that were true Democrats would still control the senate.

The things we don’t talk about, can’t talk about in Washington. This is bullshit! We mad as hell and we’re not taking it anymore. We’re coming for you Oligarchs. Get your dirty hands of OUR Country, OUR money. Thieves and pillagers corrupt as the worst.

I’m 🇨🇦 and I’ve loved Bernie Sanders, from a distance for a very long time! He is a US National Treasure, and unfortunately, there’s only one Bernie. He would have made one Hell of a President!!! Thank you Bernie for this magnificent speech! — How did Trump get re-elected? I mean he’s a convicted felon for God sakes, and it wasn’t like Americans didn’t know what he was?! I blame, first McConnell, then the Robert’s Court, Trump is their monster! Now he’s the world’s problem! We have a Trump wannabe in Canada too, Poilievre. And, we also MAGAs called, F🍁cking Maple MAGAs! Luckily they are only 11% of the country, but that’s still too many, they multiply if you water them after dark. So we still have to worry about our upcoming election, wish us luck! Question; why do people vote against their own best interest? Does anyone have any theories?

MAGATs won't make an effort to improve their own lives. They want government to make their lives better. And since it doesn't work that way, they want others to suffer and they want to burn government to the ground. Somehow, they envy success but don't see that success takes effort. Most successful people don't stop learning when they leave school. Magats think they know everything.

There's a lyric, Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone. I don't believe Magats keep that thrill of living. So, making other people miserable somehow is more appealing than making an effort.

Imagine if they did vote in their best interest and then government did work to improve their lives. I think they'd still be angry that there are people out there better off than them, especially black people or women.

It is a conundrum.

Stupidity? 🤔 Lowered IQ points? Illegal drugs?

Hate? Let's start there.

I know the chances of Bernie's words being published in the oliarchists' newspapers/media sources are none. The oligarchy want the oppressed to wallow in darkness. BUT: what happens when the 170,000,000 stop caring? Do the 2nd wives and third wives stop complaining and start cleaning?

Ah Bernie Sanders, you ARE the American hero of this terrible current crisis! I know you won’t desert your American folks in Vermont and elsewhere but feel free to come up to Canada and join Team Canada/Mark Carney. Men of integrity and courage - both of you!

He is correct in that we are getting more pissed each day and we are not going to take this any longer! Many, currently in the House and the Senate have helped make our country the way it is and we are sick and tired of billionaires stealing what little we have. If it takes removal of all these career politicians, then this is what must be done. They no longer represent and work for us !

I love this SO much! Thank you, Bernie, you are an inspiration, and your assessment of our current situation is exactly right. I know that you said that you won’t run in 2028 and I respect that. But we will look for your guidance and mentoring on the next great leader for the US. I don’t think we should talk about parties anymore, I think we should talk about socioeconomic status and recognize greed shouldn’t rule the world. Also, going to Mars is a waste of money when we have people starving in this world. I thought Andrew Yang had the right idea with UBI, even more so now in this moment when AI is actually starting to takeover jobs. Too bad AI can’t pick the crops and cut the meat, amiright??

For the 1000th time, I feel my words are vox clamantis in deserto (voice crying in the wilderness), but here goes again. This is NOT trump's doing. Nothing trump does is his doing. He is NOT in charge. He is NOT calling the shots. His big money backers, donors, wealthy ideologues and corrupt morally compromised lawyers are the ones directing and implementing the dismantling of our Democratic institutions and guardrails, while spineless legislators sit by twiddling their thumbs or actively cheering it on while their dear leader has spent 26% of his days in office golfing, the rest of the time hosting self-important fawning galas at his gilded palace in Florida and schmoozing with his Faux News buddies and autopenning his heartattack EKG signature to a flurry of executive orders he did not write. trump is merely the figurehead, the frontman to sell his overlords' unpalatable vision to the addled masses. We can only hope that everything that he is NOT doing will ultimately be his final undoing.

Thank you , Bernie. You have laid out the situation so clearly. I live in Canada and we unfortunately are moving towards a similar set of circumstances that Americans face today, thanks to ultra conservative, wanna be Trumpians in our Country. We have an important federal election underway in Canada. It represents a mega movement against MAGA influences infiltrating in our country. Bernie, when you speak of the struggles facing hardworking Americans, you also speak of the troubles Canadians face. Please, keep speaking up for democracy. And as we now say in Canada, ELBOWS UP!🍁🇨🇦
