Today’s performance was by far the most deranged of her acts, but it boggles the mind how it is possible for the people of her district to elect her. Not once, not twice, but three times. What is wrong with people?!?!?!

Never been to Georgia - eh? I married a Georgia girl - she always said Georgia was a GREAT state - to be FROM. She never went back. They still call the Civil War The War of Northern Aggression - and her Me-maw (Grandmother) was fond of saying "We'll forgive the Yankees just as soon as they bring back the silverware." It's like a Southern Gothic novel - but it's real life...

Bridget Collins's avatar

Memaw should get her silverware back when she pays the back wages her family owed their slaves.

That's the fundamental hypocrisy of Southern apologists.

With one breath they accuse black people of being unable to move on from slavery and with the next they whine about losing the Civil War.

Kathleen Wright's avatar

Awesome reply for Memaw to pay the back wages to the family slaves!!!

Jeff Urdank's avatar

They’ve never gotten over it. It’s generational trauma.🤷‍♂️

✊🇺🇸🇺🇦😎

Jeff Urdank's avatar

Well, that kind of trauma can lead to generational anger, and resentment. Hence they’re current agenda.

Bridget Collins's avatar

Right.

Because their "generational trauma" of losing a war they started is just so so worse than decades of slavery and then their spending the next hundred years using sharecropping & the penal code to get continue economic enslavement of black and poor people?

🙄

Next time they secede, let them.

Kathleen Wright's avatar

I’m all in on letting them secede again too… buh byeeeee !

Bridget Collins's avatar

It obviously wasn't traumatic enough if they want another go at it.

No, never had the pleasure of visiting GA. I do live in Texas (not Texas native), albeit in a widely democratic urban area, so had my fair share of interesting conversations while traveling the state’s rural areas. I do understand and allow for some prejudices in deep rural conservative areas, however, it is inconceivable how her outrageous performance didn’t turn away even the most staunch republican supporter. Is that how the majority of her district see themselves? If true, it is deeply disturbing.

K Salisbury's avatar

Deeply disturbing HEAR!!! HEAR!!

Gayle Rowan's avatar

That’s really sad and pathetic

Dez Mond's avatar

They are very poor, very uneducated people... they are angry and constantly fed disinformation to keep their anger alive. They are probably nutritionally under-nourished and sleep deprived... exactly the kind of voters this Authoritarian Regime want to procure and nurture.

K Salisbury's avatar

Just right. By "uneducated" you call out folks whose parents screamed full force at them, and who as infants, couldn't escape. I see it in the Dollar Generals here. I wanted to call 911!

Sheryl Beth's avatar

I’m also a liberal… I lived in GA for 30 years… The area she represents is Rome, GA. It’s a very small, beautiful place w/magnificent older, Victorian Homes, loaded w/ southern charm & plenty of old money!!!

The issue is the area is 100% White & EVANGELICAL!!! The majority of Southerners vote Conservative, and always have… It’s a Generational issue…

More diverse educated or not. areas of GA vote differently… This can be said for all states… PS As I’ve discovered, ignorance exists in both Red States & Blue States… Colorado idiots in a small area continue to vote for Lauren Bo-Bo-head!?!

Too many voters in PA, voted Red…

Blue states turned Red in2024, due to all that refused to vote for Kamala… or didn’t vote at all… Today, in the midst of US DISASTER… there are those so called people who still are happy to be MAGACITES!?!?!🧐🥵

Karin's avatar

It’s actually a tragedy ! There are millions them!

Glennz2013's avatar

Stupidity, racism, brainwashed by Fox News? Trying to come up with answers to your difficult question. Possibly they just suck!

Etu Andu's avatar

Faux news is a major culprit. They have deceived and corrupted, millions of people.

Bob Churchill's avatar

Fox feeds people the lies they’re hungry to hear - that’s the underlying problem with hate and propaganda media - it tells ignorant and hateful people they’re the very best people. No one commands greater loyalty than the one that validates people’s basest impulses…

Judith Abingdon's avatar

Along with their faux religions!

Karin's avatar

Only and exclusively for the ratings and taking in the millions!

Gayle Rowan's avatar

That is the almighty question. Why, how could they vote for her 🤷‍♀️

Tess Cole's avatar

I’m asking the same thing!!!

Brenda's avatar

I don’t live in the district it I know the area. One word-education

Phoenix's avatar

She is the ANTITHESIS of Jimmy Carter

M Boland's avatar

I think they are entertained by her, regardless of what she says or means. As long as trump is their guiding light nothing else matters… 🤨

Mary Suddath's avatar

Their Trump Derangement Syndrome is showing😂😂😂

Broom Hilda's avatar

Have you ever been to NW GA?

Patricia's avatar

Gerrymandering her district to areas of Georgia where few people vote or are uneducated

Jeff Urdank's avatar

Umm...a lot. 😏😎

Mary Suddath's avatar

We wonder the same thing about Jasmine Crockett. Yeah, the one whose comment about Gov. Abbott shows how she feels about people with special needs.

Ecaterina DeBoer's avatar

She wasn’t referring to his wheelchair condition and she explained it ad noseum.

It is interesting that when a democrat makes one controversial remark, they get ripped apart and requested to maintain decorum, but when a MAGA performs for the circus constantly, it is accepted as norm.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye”. That is from the Bible, I thought the MAGA are oh so Christian.

Donna Elisabeth's avatar

Don’t hear you condemning this. This should have been the end of him. He is a disgrace

Mary Suddath's avatar

Oh, so you do accept that her remark was controversial. Don’t project what MAGA does then; just accept what she said was uncalled for.

Also, I don’t do scripture smack down.

Ecaterina DeBoer's avatar

I admit Jasmine’s remark was controversial, and she could have made her point differently.

MTG behavior at the press conference? I’m having a hard time coming up with any plausible excuses for that.

Cheers

My sister lives in her district and can’t answer that , but it has a lot to do with Faux News

Our "leaders" are a bunch of tantrum throwing bullies with the maturity of a 6 year old. If that.

Kevin Kopelman's avatar

I know many six year olds way smarter than “her”

Carol Shad's avatar

She is disgusting and totally unqualified as a politician AND a rotten human being.

Xeno's avatar

Who isn’t in that disgraceful rabble?

Karin's avatar

A pit viper in action

Rick Sears's avatar

The people who voted her into office are just as responsible for her disgusting show as she is. If not for them, she wouldn’t even exist!

Xeno's avatar

Yep - you get what you vote for.

Jocelyn Millis's avatar

Her tantrum reminded me of the movie Mommie Dearest when she found a wire hanger in her closet. Marjorie Taylor Greene is an abusive, out of control woman.🌹

MeredithD1's avatar

She is a hater who will hate and find any reason to keep hating. It's burning her up.

KarenO's avatar

It's not the first time MTG has been disgustingly rude to a UK reporter. On that occasion she told the reporter to f... off. Unfortunately I have no recollection of when or where that was to provide as a reference.

Ana Cervantes's avatar

YESYESYES!!! Thank you!! Please, keep bringing attention to MTG's derangement and total lack of morals. The mainstream press is too embarrassed, it seems, to say anything about it.

Glennz2013's avatar

She's considering a senate run. Let that sink in for a minute! Senator Margorie Taylor Greene...(cue the horses whinnying in the background).

Dennis Drennan's avatar

Marjorie Two-Names (Q-GA) is truly three bubbles off plumb and has all the class of a student on Saturday--she doesn't have any.

Thank you. Excellent descriptions, tight writing style, details that go bonk in the night! I gotta follow you for this.

Ellen Lende's avatar

Yeah, Ellen. Where ya been? ❤️ Welcome. You will never be bored, but you WILL be rightly informed.

Lock her up … in a fancy white jacket with straps.

SJL 💙's avatar

This is so well written! She is insane.

Carol Freeman's avatar

If this woman (the American one) is an example of the MAGA voters idea of a politician - no wonder the US is in so much trouble.

🙌 to the Sky News reporter & the American guy who backed her up!!!
