Trump, MAGA and "Christian" Republican is working on a revised version of the New Testament in the Bible. First to go is the tale of the Good Samaritan. Trump thinks that this is a story introduced in the Bible by the Devil. Clearly a Christian never gives anything away other than to himself.
Thank you for this. It is important to (at the very least) take a moment to mourn the damage that has been done. I did not know the backstory on how they convinced themselves, pre-Jan 20, that USAID was just a big scam. That kind of rationalization is just incredible. The level of thinking process to say that an incredibly intricate organization with thousands of employees and programs is "all a scam" is just insane. Cutting it all off at once is a demonstration of pure evil. You don't just do that. And yes, of course, people die. With great power comes great responsibility — and great CULPABILITY.
This is just so heartbreaking. Not surprising, given how quickly AIDS can overtake someone, but just heartbreaking. And evil. I was surprised at the assertion in this piece that the GOP has been trying to gut USAID since mid-2024 and some programs were frozen while Biden was still in office. I’ve done an internet search trying to find evidence of that but can’t find anything. Can you point to me any links that talk about this being done?

I am searching for words to express my thoughts on this…none of them, not one single one, could be termed polite. What an absolute horror story.
