I only joined the internet itself in 2000, having resisted the cajoling of friends for years. They nicknamed me 'Netgran' because of my overt reticence to become a servant to digital tech.
It was fun - at first. Gradually, the worst of the creative minds embedded worms & other insidious things to do their worst. Now Zuck has joined the rabble like Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft on Team Trump🪳 who find it easier to go along with his demented autocratic doctrine than stand for what they once said they believed in!

Twitter / X is a cesspool. At this point I only use Facebook to look at closed private groups.
I agree with Mike A, I only use Facebook for local community news on wildfires, earthquakes and traffic jams.
