He sure was my Huckleberry! I watch him as Doc Holiday at least once per month. My escape from the horrors of what's happening in our country. I love you Val. I won't miss you because you live in my heart! 🙏🏼
Ah, that's my favorite, too! There are so many "OK Corral" movies and, with every other one I see, I look at whoever is playing Doc Holliday and say (out loud), "He ain't no Val Kilmer!" Kirk Douglas? Dennis-f*ckin'-Quaid? Nah. Give me Val every time.
The one thing I will say is that for folks over 50 talk to your doctor about receiving the pneumonia vaccine. I don't know the full circumstances of Kilmer's death, but it is not every day a noted cause of death being pneumonia in someone relatively young (and presumably healthy).
And I didn't miss a single one and I am grateful. I was surprised to learn that he was younger than me. I knew that he always had a voice. Who else could have played Jim Morrison & taken our hearts as John Holmes. We rode the skies with Val and we lurked in the shadows too. RIP VAL ! You left your mark with your talent and did us all 👏 proud! 👏
Val was one of the reasons I wanted to see "Top Gun: Maverick" and I bawled my li'l eyes out when the Ice Man died—probably because I knew the REAL Ice Man most likely didn't have much time left himself.
The best eulogy of Kilmer I've seen so far; you would have made him proud.
Great eulogy. Thunderheart is one of my favorite movies of all time. You analyzed it perfectly. Thank you.

And get the RSV vaccine. That's one awful "bug".

I've seen Real Genius too many times to count. This one hit me hard. It's going to be a Val Kilmer binge weekend.
