Once we have a decent government and a real president, I would want that president to do two things right away: 1) Get the process going for overturning Citizens United, and 2) Restore USAID, complete with building space, a full staff (including as many re-hires as possible), and full funding. The dissolution of USAID was an evil act and an insult to the memory of President John F. Kennedy, its creator.

It just kills my soul to know this is happening and in Gaza too. Will private foundations and faith organizations be able to fill in the gap from US AID decimation? What can we do other than to DEMAND that funds be reinstated and aid workers be hired back? Or DEMAND that Trump and his billionaire buddies fill the gaps.

O.M.G.!!!

Can we charge the politicians whose votes caused this with felonious assault or child endangerment by negligence... or mass murder for hire... or...?

The reality is it that if those starving children were white with blonde hair and blue eyes and from Europe or upper North America, at least 75% of the wealthy would be throwing their arms up in the air and cry foul.

"But what about the "children“ they would cry."

" What an atrocity", they would say.

" We must do something now" they would declare.

Laws would be changed, trials would be had, wars would be started.

Sadly, these are NOT children of lighter fare parents so their fate lay in the hands of those who ARE just and compassionate. And often those hands belong to individuals who are not in powerful positions. Ask yourself, which one are you?

Those who precipitated this atrocity will receive due recompense. Karma is inescapable, and God is not mocked.

The ball is in the court of We The People. The faster we can rid ourselves of the current raging infection, the sooner we can return to compassion and humanity.

Well, I may get flack for this. Here it goes.

Hammas terrorism has a lengthy history. They must be challenged at every opportunity. Far be it from me to have the answers. No, starvation of innocent people is inhumane. But Israel has this small strip of land which belongs to Isreal first! Imo this situation is also spawning more antisemitic ideals.

Its a hot mess and our world view is skewed because of this situation.

No answers here but heartbreaking all the same.💔

Thanks for reminding us about Sudan. Israel and the US are stopping food and other supplies getting into Gaza but helping Sudan is much easier.

Incidentally, has anyone done a comparison of Trump to Benedict Arnold yet?

Just think what those greedy billionaires could do with their pocket change! They will have to answer to a higher power one day.

Russian is building a port for it's nuclear subs in South Sudan. South Sudan is a very young country and has been at war with Sudan since separating from Sudan. Please watch FSTV to keep up.

I find it sad that the children are skin and bone but not the parents?

I had the experience of talking to a neighbor yesterday about polotics, specifically USAID and the rabid, racist trump worshiper said "the director of that program was paid $300,000 and that was too much to pay them" like they were on the take. I asked about company CEO's making upwards of 25% of what they made before and his reply was "they do it becasue they can" having with NO problem at all. So f'ing illogical. Stop the world I want to get off!
