And in Nashville, and Atlanta where the National Guard WAS called to be on hand for crowd control, they formed their lines, but dropped their shields in unison!!! What a message for Trump, Noem and Hegseth! The People ARE the power!

Wow! I hope it was on TV somewhere, maybe Rachel Maddow? I would LOVE to see it....I don't remember ever seeing anything like that back in the late 60s/early 70s.....

I am so pleased to hear that. That's the kind of way you need your national guard to act.

We had dangerous “counter protesters” in Sebastian, FL which escalated things. They wouldn’t leave or move. Had to remove myself or else risk doing something regretful. maggat leaches.

I’m so sorry. I’m glad you were there until the RWNJs showed up & spoiled things. It was scary at Charlottesville, VA on Saturday, August 12, 2017, too, at the “Unite the Right” Rally when the extreme white nationalist hate group The League of the South marched in and all hell broke loose. Actually, it was terrifying and physically violent the night before, but my friend and I were unaware of the tiki-torch Neo-Nazis march on UVA’s Rotunda on Friday the 11th when they attacked UVA students.

Thank goodness our Democrat Governor shut it down at noon on Saturday the 12th. We also didn’t hear about the death of Heather Hyers until on our way home. You take care, they truly are dangerous, so bless you for standing up to the fascists!

I’m the main caregiver for my mom with Alzheimer’s and I don’t get to as many protests as I would like to, but I’m definitely with every one of you!

The energy level was high here in Oregon. We basked in the sunshine of a beautiful spring morning and let the world know that we are mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore. Resist!

I was in the deep south of Oregon (Josephine County) and we had a GREAT turnout 🎊. Great signs, great energy. We were on the Main Street and tons of cars and trucks drove by honking and thumbs up 🎉. All ages present, music, drumming. This has been a rather deep red county for quite a while, but people are getting angry about lots of things, and are mobilizing.

Wee Whidbey Island, Washington had hundreds turn out in the rain!

Beware the grey-hairs!

We cut our teeth on rallies & protests

We remember the 4 dead in Ohio - the Kent State College students who were protesting the expansion of the Vietnam War into Cambodia - fired on by the National Guard - May 4th, 1970

We've got nothing to lose by showing up & using our voices as they did.

And here we are given an opportunity - if we are bold enough to take it

I'm reminded of a story about a little girl who asks her grandfather how come there are so few men and boys in the village. He tells her that long ago a soldier with a gun took them away. How many went? she asked? 200. How could 1 soldier with 1 gun take away 200 men & boys? Because no one among us wanted to be the first to die, And so we all did.

Of course I'm not saying we should die; but I am compelled by the courage it takes to say, No!

I recognize the odds.

Walking home I saw the Tesla Free Zone sign had been spray-painted over & a bumper sticker smashed rhere: Trump won - get over it. Even here on our island the maga right is holding out for a regime

Silly.... they are pushing for more women to have more babies - considering paying $5k per birth AT THE SAME TIME that they have decimated medicaid, head start, & all the rest to support those moms & children.

IDIOTS all

l think about my dad his 5 brothers enlisting in WWII - some not even "of age." He was the reason I served as a US Navy nurse.

We keep on keepin on

Standing strong with you that We the People will prevail over the people in power.
