The Gospel According to Trump: 100 Ways He Betrayed Jesus' Teachings
A Comprehensive, Scripture-Based Examination of Trump's Words, Actions, and Values — and Why Evangelicals Must Reckon with the Truth
To My Fellow Christians,
I write this letter not out of anger or judgment, but out of love — for you, for the witness of the church, and for the integrity of the faith we share.
I know why many of you supported Donald Trump. Some of you believed he would protect religious freedoms. Others saw him as a defender of conservative values, a fighter against what you view as a culture in decline. Perhaps you believed he was a flawed man serving a greater purpose — an imperfect vessel chosen by God.
I understand that. But I need you to understand something, too: the cost of this alliance has been far greater than you may realize.
In defending Trump, in celebrating him, in excusing his cruelty, his greed, his dishonesty, and his contempt for the vulnerable — you have traded something far more valuable than a few political victories. You have traded your witness.
The watching world — the people you hope to reach with the gospel — sees what’s happening. They see a faith that once preached humility now cheering for arrogance. They see a church that once claimed to stand for truth now twisting itself into knots to defend lies. They see Christians who once believed character mattered now shrugging off behavior that Jesus himself condemned.
I ask you: What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? (Mark 8:36)
Did Jesus not warn us about wolves in sheep’s clothing? Did he not tell us that those who exalt themselves will be humbled? Did he not command us to care for the poor, the sick, the immigrant, the prisoner — the very people Trump mocked, neglected, and demonized? Did he not say that the greatest among us would be servants — not power-hungry men obsessed with domination and control?
I know Trump has said things that resonate with your fears — fears about a changing world, about your faith being marginalized, about values you cherish being erased. But fear is a poor substitute for faith. Jesus never called us to seek power at all costs. He called us to love our enemies, to turn the other cheek, and to speak the truth — even when it’s inconvenient.
I’m not asking you to change your politics or abandon your values. I’m asking you to consider this: If your support for Trump has required you to excuse cruelty, dishonesty, or corruption — is that truly what Jesus would have done?
Attached to this letter is a list of 100 ways Trump's words and actions have contradicted the teachings of Jesus. Each entry pairs a specific teaching from Christ with Trump’s behavior that stands in direct opposition. I encourage you to read it carefully — not as an attack, but as an opportunity for reflection.
I know this is hard. Confronting the ways we’ve been misled — the ways we’ve compromised — is never easy. But that’s what repentance requires: the courage to face uncomfortable truths and change course. Jesus didn’t ask us to win at all costs — he asked us to follow him.
I believe it’s not too late to reclaim that calling. The world is watching, and what they need to see is not a church that clings to power — but a church that reflects the grace, mercy, and truth of Jesus Christ.
I’m asking you to take that first step: Read the list. Pray over it. Ask yourself honestly: Is this the kind of leadership Jesus would have supported?
Because the only victory that matters is not the one we win at the ballot box — it’s the one we win by living a life that reflects the compassion, courage, and love that Jesus taught us.
Sincerely,
A Fellow Believer

He shows everyday that he’s the opposite of Christ. He’s Been the Anti-Christ to me since 2015. If you look at him and see anything other than a fraud, you are not a seeing soul. I’ve always been able to see people for who they are.. discernment is my superpower.. wolf in sheep’s clothes. Great read.
The writer here says "I'm not asking you to change your politics or abandon your values." I AM asking them to change their politics, because they DID abandon their values. If they want to RECLAIM their values, their politics absolutely need to change, immediately.
I believe in Christ, but I absolutely do not believe in Christians. I am one of the people who do not accept their witness for one second, because their political support for that candidate shows me clearly that they deny their own witness. "By their fruits you shall know them." And there are no good fruits here.
