I had "Mom's Meals" delivered during my recovery from a fractured pelvis, complements of my bc-bs insurance plan. They were inedible and ended up in the trash. This is definitely a solution: the FINAL solution!

RFK is an imposter. His appointment to head HHS was the height of cynicism.

I thought I saw some cash-tinted grease oozing out of the corner of Bobby's mouth. Wonder what kickbacks taste like?

I assume he owns stock in the "Mom's Meal's" company.

What a hypocritical, disgusting, brain worm slop excuse of a man. As a retired career HHS employee, this makes me ill. It's awful when you can no longer trust our federal health agencies because their snake oil salesmen are anti-science.

I feel really sorry for the people who are forced to eat this crap, some of which who are probably on meds that will further exacerbate their health problems. What then?

And the ignorance continues but what else can we expect from someone who has no medical background or experience & has collected another group of uninformed ignoramuses to assist him.

Recommends unhealthy meal products for Seniors!!

Excerpt

“According to nutritionist Marion Nestle, who reviewed the actual labels for the AP, these meals are loaded with additives, sodium, and fat. You couldn’t replicate them in a home kitchen unless your spice rack includes maltodextrin and monoglycerides.”

Yuck. The worst kind of food for anyone, let alone elderly people who have a greater need for protein and for food that is fresh, nutritious and flavourful.

If it’s at all ethical for any government to endorse a product produced by a private company (and I doubt that very much) the least one could expect is that it would be something that is truly healthful — such as fresh vegetables and fruit, grains plus a good source of protein. Definitely not processed pap.

They didn't even try to make them look appetizing on their website. Can't imagine what they look like in real life. Gross.
