In the 1980's I wrote an article for Sierra Magazine about the effects of Monsanto's Roundup on agricultural workers in Texas. At the time I was the executive director of the California Committee on Pesticides and Toxics. The research available at the time showed the effects of Roundup, applied as directed, in conformance with safety labelling, on the workers' acetylcholinesterase levels and attendant poisoning, nervous system effects, etc. See https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10089042/.

Monsanto came after me with a SLAPP suit. Fine, I said, and brought my attorney to the deposition.

Who is this? One of the Monsanto hacks demanded.

This is my attorney Mr. A... I said.

He's got to leave.

He leaves, I leave, said I.

Et cetera.

The Monsanto mobsters got nowhere with me. They thought they were going to browbeat an innocent frightened woman.

Come and try that again, we'll have fun, said I as we left.

Stupid bastards.

I went back to my Sierra Mag. editor and told him what happened.

Sierra demanded an apology from Monsanto. I think they got it, but I don't recall anymore.

Also like the Sacketts, the "Dope Sick" pharmaceutical company that "bought" someone in the FDA to falsify data on oxycontin, creating a massive addiction problem in the U.S. I trust no one.

So well articulated. Thank you. Def tired of the silence, ignorance, collusion, and heart and soul crying from the sheer inhumane evil of all this.

Standing up anyway….

Sounds like the EPA is to these companies as the SCOTUS is to POTUS. No wonder I don’t recall hearing DOGE et al trying to dismantle the EPA or did I miss that in the planned chaos?

"The rise of corporations like Monsanto ought to be telling you that the 1% view us as little more than a drain on their ability to have all the money. They plan on feeding us their agent orange infused toxic diet until enough of us drop dead, that we can't stop them from taking the rest." - Jstn Green (From the late 80s)

And this is America writ large. An America without principle. A cancerous model of vampire capitalism eating the world alive.

So where is RFK Jr.? He claims that this is the type of thing that he'll "clean up" as the new HHS Secretary. At FDA at least....

Everything is at stake.

The damage already done will take decades to repair.

Push back hard.

Go after every one of the Presicunt’s deluded, moronic, filthy sycophants: in the courts, in the streets and in whatever media dare print the truth.

Support each other. Don’t despair.

Impeach the vile prick before it’s too late.

The world is with you.
