So now the question is why did the administration back out of Minneapolis? Is this Trump's Stalingrad moment? What donor republicans are telling Trump the ICE men are costing the GOP votes? As Trump doesn't intend to allow midterm voting, that's not an issue. What is up?

First, they haven't left yet. They've just said they're leaving. Second, they're trying to cut federal funding to Minnesota. Third, they're going to show up somewhere else with a slightly different strategy. Everyone needs to rest when they can and stay vigilant. It will be long haul.

The defence of Minneapolis was heroic, but don't kid yourself; this ain't over. Trump's tactic has always been to push and push to unreasonable levels and then walk back...some. So while it's a victory, he still continues to stretch the boundaries of what's possible and what's conceivable and what's considered "normal". There will be more and we need to be ready for it. Much love to Minnesotans!

Where I work, there are lots of people who come and go during business hours. As a result of the business being a high-traffic zone, along with so many active shooter catastrophes, our company requires an annual review of active-shooter protocols.

In the videos, it details the necessary steps one must go through in order to give oneself the greatest chances of survival.

The first step is to accept that the situation is real. If one doesn't do that, then, no plan for protection or escape can be formulated.

What Minnesotans did, and continue to do, is the recycling of the steps of accepting the situation, running, hiding, and/or fighting.

EVERY American, if we are to survive the Trump regime, must do the same:

• Accept the reality.

• Assess the circumstances.

• Make the decision to either run, hide, or fight.

• Keep recycling the protocols until you reach safety, or, rescue personnel find you.

Minnesotans worked this model over and over until ICE was forced to leave. We must all do the same.

I’m from Minnesota, and I was appalled when Michele Bachman (who attended my high school) became the political daring of the state’s right wing politicians, and the most public face of Minnesota politics. Now that she has been reduced to schilling for auto repair companies, and ordinary citizens are showing the rest of the nation how to effectively resist authoritarianism, I am once again proud of my political heritage….

Good idea. Lots of outside instigators like Russia, Syria and wherever are pushing for violence against whichever group here they hate.

This a pure gold. Thank you. Sharing many of your fully attributed articles as substack links on Facebook and making sure that is okay with you.

Well done.

Thank you from Minneapolis. This is the best summary of how and why we won I have yet read. It communicates clearly that mass resistance is 99% quiet logistics and 1% public spectacle.

Tbf,we have been doing this in California for about 8 months now... My Minnesota peeps still thought they were safe throughout the Summer and fall, until the new year. They just couldn't comprehend what was happening in CA until it started happening there. Now that we all know, we need to unite, fight, and keep sharing information.
