The House investigates, holds hearings and then votes to impeach which then goes to the Senate to decide whether to remove.
If the Democrats can take back the House in 26, they should do everything within their power to begin the impeachment process on Thomas and Alito without haste.

It does not. Convicting an impeached justice in this political climate would not be possible even if they were convicted of their sworn duties. And if they were "convicted" Trump could pardon her or them for whatever he felt was in his best interest.
