The first professional job I had after college graduation was that of a US Navy nurse. When my hitch was up I became a civilian nurse. Nurses take the Nightingale Pledge written in 1893 including commitments to maintaining professional standards, confidentiality, and dedication to patient welfare. Despite the many professional hats I've worn since those early days, this remains the same: "Once a nurse, always a nurse."
Now doctors - like Senator Cassidy - would probably have sworn the Hippocratic Oath. The phrase "Above all else, do no harm" is most closely associated with Hippocrates, a Greek physician considered the father of Western medicine. While the exact phrase "Above all else, do no harm" isn't found in the original Hippocratic Oath, it is a paraphrase of principles found in his writings, particularly in "Of the Epidemics". The Latin phrase "Primum non nocere", meaning "first, do no harm," is also linked to Hippocrates and his ethical framework for medicine.
You became a Senator but forgot all about being a Medical Doctor. Somebody needs to go back to school, Senator......
It's true what they say: "What goes around comes around."
Once he voted for RFK Jr, and betrayed all children by limiting vaccines, it wasn’t hard for him to double down and betray all folks who need Medicaid coverage for health care. His ethics turned out to be “pliable” at best. The AMA should revoke a medical license for this willful disregard of patient care.
How should one go about getting messages to Senators Bill Cassidy & John Kennedy that both of their voicemail boxes have been full for two days? My 89 year-old mother has been trying to leave her vote no requests.
Throw him into the same garbage bin as KS Sen Roger Marshall (Roger the Dodger, who ran out of a town hall rather than answer his constituents' questions). Both supposedly doctors. Both, it seems, sucking up to the MAGA promise. I'm guessing both have been promised riches. Or threatened with exposure for something they already did.
My hope is that he sees this, reads it, and either votes NO or feels the shame of his YES vote daily, for the rest of his life. And I'll add I hope his people in Louisiana reward him with booting him out of a job. Call it getting rid of waste, fraud, and abuse

He sold his soul to big money donors. That's what happened.

How will you sleep at night? No amount of money can compensate for your betrayals.
A simple "Please be true to your profession and do the right thing." should be enough!
Sometimes, after being elected, they forget what "the right thing" actually is and need to be reminded.

I don't know how to send a fax. Can you tell me please. I would be happy to send things to this bastard.
There are several options online. FaxZero and HumbleFax are both solid options.
Great fax activism for us to do, thank you for all of these!
He sold himself to the Dictator!
A DOCTOR? Voted for this? Nobody’s going to trust him again!

Serious question: how do you send a fax these days?
FaxZero and HumbleFax are solid options. There are several others.
