I like that analogy. Not radical left, but ‘cannibalism.’ There are many conservatives who no longer feel they have a party that represents them and abhor the MAGA mindset. The fact that issues based polls show overwhelming support for Democratic positions but give actual ‘Democrats’ low ratings, and that many GOP voters sat out the race when the choice was Trump or ANY Democrat, reflects the effective media demonization of Democrats in the last decades. I wonder if this man voted. It is so sad that his Republican father turned him in; that might explain a few things in further investigation.

The same ‘cannibalism’ that killed MN Democratic State House Speaker Hortman and almost killed Sen. John Hoffman? It exists on both sides. Can we just admit that cold blooded murder over words and differing views & opinions is wrong across the board? And you’re ‘sad’ that the father turned him in after he admitted to him that he murdered someone in cold blood in front of his family? Are you serious?!

There was no political ‘cannibalism’ in the murder of Ms Hortman and the attempted murder of three others (after having stalked at least one other unsuccessfully) committed by a man with a list of over 40 other Dem targets and a car full of firepower. You obviously missed the point of this article and/or the metaphor entirely. And yes, whatever the reasoning, turning in one’s own son is a sad concept.

Maybe the pastor and sheriff convinced him the courts would be merciful or show leniency, such a good MAGA family. Certainly Sen Mace and her ilk, who was ALL about capital punishment after the shooting, was all about God having mercy on this man’s soul today. (It used to be about ‘making the punishment fit the crime’ but in this case we are perhaps making it fit the agenda.)

He is not the shooter. The real shooter, to be sure, will end up dead - but we will never know about it.

Distraction.

Putin. Netanyahu. Trump.

Gaza. Ukraine. Qatar. Poland.

EPSTEIN.

It's all connected.

RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES. It's what Charlie Kirk would have wanted. Literally.

This post is pointing out that Kirk was outspoken about releasing the Epstein files, which the Don was against. Is it that weird that someone with views like Loomer, who thought that Kirk had betrayed the Don by preaching “Release the Epstein Files” to his massive youth congregation, would be the shooter? Either way, it will be interesting to see how they connect the pictures of him walking around to that long gun in the woods. Hope he makes it to trial.

The right is running scared because now it's occurred to their lizard brains that they, too, can be targets. Their fascist lumping of people into groups to hate and ignoring individuals is coming back to bite them. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Tyler Robinson must have empathy. Something Kirk spoke strongly against.

You get what you pay for. I feel for Tyler because sometimes I feel so helpless against this regime. Maybe he dd too.

Agree. This shooting didn’t pass the smell test. Similar to the “Trump assassination” event. Too many inexplicable details. But absolutely no explanation.

Someone sent me the following video on Wednesday, and then yesterday I saw other videos on Twitter that explained what was happening when CK was shot, and also claiming it was a very skilled, collaborative shooting. Like I said, something “fishy “ here. You decide.

I can't believe the average 22 year old can take a shot with the success rate of a skilled sniper. I'm sure there are people out there who have the skill which they've perfected over the years, but not this kid.

Absolutely right. That distance with a single shot would have taken years of training. Whoever shot CK was a hired gun. And he didn’t act alone.

Will we ever know what really happened? Not likely.

You are both wrong about this. Any reasonably experienced deer hunter could make that shot without thinking about it. Anyone who has had ANY military training could make that shot. Hell, I haven't fired a rifle in fifty years, and I could take a $600 deer rifle, a $100 scope, a couple boxes of ammo and a couple weeks of practice and make that shot. I am personally acquainted with at least two dozen people who could make that shot. Now if the range was > 500 yards, I would tend to agree, but this country is chock-full of people who can shoot that well or better.

All deciples, including Kirk, are riding on Tempertantrump’s shoulders. Message is unambiguous. There should be a totem pole with Tempertantrump riding on Putina’s shoulders. The top person is holding the AR-15. Makes Tempertantrump and Putin look innocent. Not.

Laura Loomer spent the last few weeks in a very nasty, public fight with Kirk over the Epstein scandal. Her whole bag is to fling over heated accusations at foes and inspire others to make threats or commit acts of violence. Of course now she’s the president’s “adviser”.

Laura Loomer is the one, I'm sure, who put the words in the felon in chief's mouth about going after any and all Democratic organizations, and shutting them all down. It's hard to keep up, but I saw tweets to that effect somewhere.

The messages scrawled on the bullet casings found with the gun also included “if you are reading this you are gay lmao” and “ciao Bella” an Italian antifascist slogan from WWII , and others. Kind of a mixed bag.

Hold on. I'm not quite understanding. If he was against fascism why are we assuming that he's on the right? Lots of people raised by republican parents are not Republicans. I'm one of them. My politics are the polar opposite of theirs. I'm not sure I'm making the connection from this article to him being right wing. 2017 was 8 years ago. He was 14. A lot of people switch allegiance as they grow up. I'm not saying this guy is definitely a leftist. I don't want him to be a leftist. I'm just not understanding how you came to the conclusion that he's right wing. I'm not buying that he's the shooter, but if he is, and they're telling the truth that Bella ciao was engraved on one of his bullets, wouldn't that make him anti fascist?

The Snake has eaten its tail. Now what?

It's up to us to call on our greater good, empathy, compassion, & keep on with that. It's a warrior's calling to rise above hate.

Remember Bishop Mariann Budde calling out 47 - in the Nation's Cathedral: Have mercy! Have mercy on the people in this country. Have mercy on the people who are scared. Have mercy on the children who fear their parents will be taken away.... was January 22nd so very far away?

And, there are limits.....

"I would say that the boundaries are around behavior—acceptable manners of speech, the ways that we treat one another—not opinions and beliefs. We are all sinners in the sight of God. None of us is perfect, we all have our capacities for harm. But where the boundaries need to be drawn are in our actions. We are all guilty of that—you can be a really obnoxious liberal and say very harmful things, so it’s not a partisan thing, it’s a human thing. We all need to be reminded of some basic practices of decency and kindness." [Bishop Budde - The Washingtonian 04-01-25]

It's really disheartening to see my trumper relatives parroting Fox News on this, as if a left wing activist committed this crime... when it's clear in any real reporting that the shooter was a born and bred right wing Republican. Fox is a blight on the world. Shameless propaganda. Zero accountability. Until that influence is held to account, I don't know how we'll get to any unity.
