I printed out the ICE info cards for them and instructed them NOT to open their doors, to ask to see a warrent signed by a judge, not ICE personnel. If ICE shows up on the block I am prepared with a bullhorn to inform and disrupt. I'm an elderly widow but I'm riled up and doing what I can.

This is disgusting. We all need to stand up, especially if you are white and a citizen (no offense intended-am I one myself). Find an event near you and go march, protest, make it loud, make it clear, speak to local media, speak up for democracy, stay safe and peaceful, but our strength is in numbers. There are many of us and the louder/prouder we stand the more impact we are making.

A loud speaker plays a local music station.A commercial comes on and my ears perk up when I hear, “This is Christi Noem (The puppy killer?).. if you are in this country illegally we will find you.” She says, “You will not be able to hide, we are active looking for you and won’t stop, we welcome legal residents but if you aren’t.. beware.”
I looked around and thought this is probably how it feels in North Korea.. this shit is sick. As a 63 year old woman who has never heard of law enforcement in the US having the right to accost, Handcuff and drag a person away to an unmarked van by masked people without a badge or any identification or warrant. I would assume that all of this is not only unconstitutional, but that anyone experiencing or witnessing it owe these unidentifiable masked kidnappers any respect or privilege.
My question is, as a 63 yr old White American, when I attack the masked people attempting to drag someone away, bc to me this is an illegal violent act that must be stopped, on what grounds could they object to such a response.
Not only do I live in a country where I have never been legally required to carry my personal ID or “papers” with me wherever I go, in case some demands to see proof that I have a right to be in America, I also live in a Nation where we don’t allow law enforcement to run around grabbing people without a warrant or due process. Given that, why the hell should anyone stand by and do nothing. Given the fact that some people are pretending to be ICE or police, I would say it’s perfectly reasonable for bystanders to act with intense prejudice against anyone trying to abduct someone on street.
I doubt MAGA want ICE to arrest citizens - at least not white citizens; that could cause a major backlash with their supporters.
Personally, I would think that any law enforcement person would know how dangerous it is to engage in such behavior - thanks to Republicans who have been behind the ending of gun regulations in many states, I would think there are far more people out there carrying concealed weapons legally. Wouldn’t these people with guns have a good reason to believe that shooting would-be masked abductor is appropriate?
We need guidance from a Federal Judge on how protected good Samaritan’s would be if they stepped in to stop a kidnapping by masked men.
One more point - I would recommend that any permanent residency green card holders or student visa holders who has or may have their visas cancelled by our Sec of State Rubio
1) never go outside except when surrounded by friends as protectors
2) change your schedule and move around between friends houses
3) if you can find out if out whether or not your visa has been canceled, and are now being hunted by ICE, have a lawyer on speed dial, and if possible, given what we are seeing, begin a lawsuit immediately, based on the arbitrary basis of the decision to cancel your green card or visa, and any other charges that may be appropriate.
American citizens must continue to speak out and against what is the arbitrary abuse of power by the President and MAGA - one of the things about law, is it’s not supposed to be arbitrary applied or decided.
