Excellent analogy. We took a dip in the muddy water and got Trumped.

Now we just need a treatment for this disease. The only ones I can think of are not mentionable online and really, not particularly practical.

Except there’s an awful lot of us who don’t swim

Brilliant analysis, also terrifying.

And from the muck arose ... nah, not this time. We are devolving to be dumber, more callous and cruel. Nothing good will arise out of this primordial soup.

Your precious Democracy is sooo wrecked.

Firstly, by a vacuous popular media absorbed with providing mendacious news and mindless "entertainment", generally of the lowest common denominator

Secondly, by a treasonous GOP which has worked treacherously since Nixon/Reagan to undermine political ethics and decency.

Finally, by an intellectually inadequate rump electorate of true DEPLORABLES who have seized on the decades long propaganda of the above as it reached its nadir in the execrable Trump et al.

So, what anti-protozoan can we use to rid ourselves of this parasite? Ponazural is pricey, but if it works...

We must crush the mid-terms. Like a gallon of bleach on a cup of sewage.

Forty something years ago, when I was a right-wing fundamentalist conservative, (I was young and stupid, too), I heard Donald Trump for the first time ever on 60 Minutes.

At one time it was a powerful and thoughtful news program.

As Trump spoke my skin began to crawl and a felt sick to my stomach. The vile trash that came out of his mouth and the tone of his voice dripping with pure evil caused me to shudder.

The way he spoke about his wife, Ivana, caused me to feel great concern for her safety and well-being. You could look in his eyes and tell where a soul should be was a deep pit of darkness.

When asked the question, "Do you plan to enter politics?" He replied, "Possibly someday." I remember thinking this disgusting, evil creature can never be elected to public office! He'll destroy the country.

Well, forty something years later he is doing just that and he's got 49% of the country under a Svengali like spell ready to do his every bidding!

I'm not sure how we escape this distopian nightmare, I just know we must.

Brilliant, thank you.
