We are writing to urge you to immediately begin formal expulsion proceedings against Senator Justin Eichorn in response to his recent arrest on suspicion of soliciting a minor for prostitution.
I support this, but it's the wrong reason for him to be expelled. Anyone supporting a bill to criminalize criticism via psychiatric arrest should be removed from any office.
And it wasn't nearly as bad. The woman who accused him was, by all accounts (and apparently on video) quite the li'l ass-grabber herself, not to mention solidly aligned with the right wing when she came forward with these allegations. It was in a group of people (writers for SNL) who were like family—a weird family, but one nonetheless—where goofy grabbing and poking was done all the time, and it was a different era—damn near 50 years ago, decades even before he had political aspirations. It's okay to give certain Republicans a pass on much worse, but sure, kick out one of the best senators Minnesota ever sent to Washington...

I don't think that it's the 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 reason for expulsion, it's 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 reason for expulsion.

I totally agree with you. I was aware of the whole story, I just wanted to point out the differences between Republicans and Democrats.
