I am a lawyer and I have a trial scheduled in Boston that week so I cannot make it this time, unfortunately. I am trying to get someone with a large platform to organize a protest at the Supreme Court on the first day of their new term (10/6, First Monday in October). I think it is critical that we show the SCOTUS 6 that we see what they are doing and we, the People, dissent. They are fucking with what is left of the Voting Rights Act ahead of this lawless plan to redistrict Texas and it is extremely dangerous and could put the 2026 midterms in extreme peril. If anyone can help with this effort, I am all ears.
Have you been in touch with FLARE USA (not sure if they have SubStack presence...)? FLARE has been boots on the ground in DC for months now. If you are looking to coordinate / scale an effort for 10/6 - they may be a very good partner. I'll share your message here along with a few others, as well.
Visiting government officials at their homes can sometimes become a dicey prospect depending on where they live, and ordinances regarding that kind of assembly. I believe that a few of these partnered organizations do have some plans to do just that. If you tune into Jessica's video, I believe Carlos briefly mentions a plan along those lines.
I am curious (not trying to push too much pressure) - what sort of obstacles do you have that prevent you from joining the effort on 9/2? I have a large family that I am responsible for - but I am looking at the calendar anyway, and trying to make the trip work.

They need to decide on a leader to unite them all. Gather Bernie Sanders, AOC, Jasmine Crock, Jamie Raskin and all Democrats together. Decide on a united game plan so that Americans can get on board to fight what is happening. I believe every Democratic state needs to call on the National Guard to protect themselves. Trump is using Washington as a testing ground and the Democrats need to fight fire with fire. Right now there are so many groups who are trying to fight what is going on and most Americans do not know which group to join. We need a united front. We the People need a true leader and a united front to protect our democracy."
