Horrifying as the actual news is, I have to take a moment to express appreciation for the writing conveying it. Your dolorous prose is a pleasure to read.

The Law of Unintended Consequences, unfortunately for us, has no delineated maximum penalty.

The World as we (I.e., the wealthy, industrial countries) would like it, has a particular problem. Its name is Trump. That is not the only serious problem we have, but it is one which screams, “Impeach and convict!” If we then act on this demand, we will have taken the first steps toward rescuing our collective sanity. (Then perhaps the message will even be heard by other aspiring dictators).

We have to turn our attention to the other existential menaces we have caused. It will take all the effort we can muster.

And many of the most unstable people are leading this country! Drumpf, Kegsbreath, little Marco, Tulsa, the list of fools and damn fools is endless! Guess we won't see that buck fifty oil the morons voted for anytime in the near future!

Thanks, moron voters and non-voters. Godspeed to all

I remember Obama, he always included a cohort of smart people around him, and always included people who would disagree with him.

What makes Trump so dangerous is that he only has idiots around him, and none will ever say “no”. It’s all about him, a vindictive, depraved psychopath in the most powerful position on Earth.

Trump will have a hard time blaming this on Biden 😂

I remember my dad listening to a record (remember those?) by the Kingston Trio many decades ago.

One song in particular stays with me: The Merry Minuet (1959) - a tongue-in-cheek, satirical piece so very timely today.

Funny how art imitates life & we never seem to learn.............

Thanks. Provides the necessary context for why it's now being reported that the US is asking China to plead with Iran not to close the straight.

There’s bi-partisan opposition to Trump’s attack on Iran in the absence of imminent threat or Congressional buy-in. There’s bi-partisan opposition and may be a vote as early as this week on Congress asserting its authority here. We need to flood the phones! Capitol Switchboard is (202) 224-3121. You can leave a message after hours.
