Just a note to that abuser loser Gibson. You were never that good an actor. As a human you suck even more. Stay out of Canada, felon.

That they wanted to intimidate Elizabeth Oyer with armed marshals is horrifying and shameful. However, I've seen reports from the NYTimes -- who said this: "On the same day that the department informed Ms. Oyer of its plans, she also learned that deputy U.S. marshals would be sent to her home to deliver the department’s letter. After Ms. Oyer assured officials that she had received it via email, the delivery was canceled."--and the Guardian, and other outlets, that they called off the "visit." Do you have evidence that they actually went and scared her son? It's super important that we get all the facts straight; what this regime is doing is catastrophic enough that we shouldn't be juicing the facts. Thanks for all you're doing.

When the government is the domestic abuser, the stand-over merchant, the masked thugs in the street, the seedy salesman selling snake oil when you really need good, proven medication, who do you turn to? When your government is your enemy, what do you do?

There's not really anything you can do except try to fight. As women we've known this for the entirety of, at least, written history.

I agree—the threats alone in this regime are stoking fear and anxiety and terrified compliance. But saying — IN ALL CAPS, I might add — that “THEY SENT ARMED MEN TO HER HOUSE” if they didn’t actually send them in the end, undercuts the reporter’s credibility and comes off like clickbait. It’s hard enough to know who and what to believe right now, with the firehose of lies coming from the regime and their right-wing media enablers and the soft-pedaling of the mainstream outlets. I trust Closer to the Edge and other outlets allied with those resisting this shitshow, but to be worthy of our trust they have to stick to the truth; we’re relying on them. Sensationalism is the regime’s game—it shouldn’t be ours. The facts are horrifying enough.

The president is turning the justice department and law enforcement officers into his own personal cadre of thugs. It’s going to get a lot worse, folks; these are people who will bend the law toward their lawless ends.

They already are! And have been since he took office! The "Supreme Court" needs to stop this crime boss & all his thugs! All the Republicans who advance his policies need to share the same prison with him.

All of these people took an oath to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION, which means they're supposed to do what's best for ALL the people not just the rich ones!

Gibson is scum just like his gang in the WH. After DT pardoned his Jan 6th prisoners, it's no surprise to me anymore, that he is putting together a group of deplorables to join the already fools in (our) WH.

"We are the hollow men

We are the stuffed men

Leaning together

Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!

Our dried voices, when

We whisper together

Are quiet and meaningless

As wind in dry grass

Or rats’ feet over broken glass

In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour.

Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

Those who have crossed

With direct eyes, to death’s other Kingdom

Remember us—if at all—not as lost

Violent souls, but only

As the hollow men ...

This is the way the world ends

This is the way the world ends

This is the way the world ends

Not with a bang but a whimper.

Im so mad at this! These men are cowards! Women in the states are not safe. As a therapist who has worked with both women and men who have suffered domestic violence I am shocked at how quickly things are falling apart. Women in the US need to wake up and recognize this. The people in charge do not care about your life or safety. Disgusting.

First of all, she is not an actor, so therefore there are not any movies that she stars in to boycott. Secondly, I am not aware that she busted her husband's teeth while he held their small child. Lastly, she was not making anti- Jewish comments, she was just protesting the unfair treatment of the civilians in Gaza. The Jewish people were subjected to the worst kinds of horror by the Nazi's and one would think that they would be careful not to be the perpetrators of evil to any other races. You know, that old "do not do unto others" thing in the bible.

As a survivor whose court cases were 15 years ago, this is nothing new. Women are at a disadvantage in court no matter how many men scream that the justice system is unfair towards men. The system is run by old white men who are probably abusers themselves. This is slightly more shocking because it happened so high up in the federal government but it really only shines a light on what women have known for millenia. This is a man's world and they are not going to give up any power if they can help it. They're digging in more than I've seen in my lifetime because this is the first time in my 45 years that they're really being challenged by entire movements of women. I assume that they acted the same way with the suffrage movement, first and second wave feminism, etc. Women are waking up and seeing all this misogyny and fighting it but we just don't have the power in the government, especially not under Trump, with very few exceptions. And those women that are exceptions are tremendous misogynists themselves.
