I live in Springfield Oregon and think this is good advice and info for all the Springfields in the USA. Also good advice for the HUNDREDS of other locations across our country. Turn out! Stay Peaceful! Wear a blow up costume like they are wearing in Portland Oregon if you can afford one. RESIST!

I would not call yourselves antifa, it’s anti-fascist. Use the whole hyphenated word, it takes their power away by calling antifa a terrorist organization.

And I love this letter, can I copy it!

Agreed, also use of the whole appropriate name elicits comparison to WW1 & 2 soldiers as opposed to Pound (Puppy) Boys.

I'd bet they'll need you to clear it with the squirrel consortium as well. Those guys can be kind of touchy.

I dont understand why I would want to identify as ANYTHING other than a US Citizen.

AFAIAC ‘antifa’ is a moral code and I don't go tossing my moral ideals around to strangers or government officials either.

Those are THOUGHTS and inviting police into that process is a bad idea.

And if anyone asks me about it - I have nothing but blank stares to give back.

Parks & Recreation is not the police. We assume you identify as many different things besides your country of citizenship. Are we wrong? The point of this article is to highlight the absurdity by asking for permission where none is needed.

Knee jerk reaction then. Admit to missing that point.

Maybe a little tired and on ‘edge’ now and need to log off.

Keep up the good work.

Always ok to stand corrected - as needed ; )
